“Day of Volunteer Service”

In April 2006, POSCO Plantec designated every third Saturday as the “Day of Volunteer Service”. Each volunteer service group established its own plan, and has since provided volunteer services for local facilities for villages in need on a regular basis.

Sisterhood relationship with local villages

POSCO Plantec entered into a sisterhood relationship with 7 villages in the Pohang area in December 1998, and has since been practicing the ‘Nanum’ management with local residents, e.g. helping senior citizens living along in the villages, helping in the busy farming season, and buying the well-known local products of the villages.

”1-company 1-mountain” nature conservation movement

As part of the “1-company 1-mountain cultivation” movement, POSCO Plantec designated Mt. Unjesan, frequented by local residents, and regularly cleaning the surroundings, e.g. the entrance to Mt. Unjesan and the trails.
